Let's Knit Magazine - Your knitting, your style

I did a Google search for “charity knitting” earlier and found “Feed The Children” and “Loving Hands” ... so I’m definitely going to have a go at some more complex knitted stuff once I’ve finished some more baby hats for Save The Children. So far I’m enjoying the hats because they’re so quick to make and reasonably idiot-proof ... I need all the help I can get with my knitting!

Read this (and saw the info in mags) and went on the Save the Children site - have downloaded the info and pattern and plan to knit some hats for babies. Never done a hat before but the pattern they give looks easy enough so here I go!

I have sent my baby items off to preemies uk,hope they have received them.I like knitting for tiny babies.

What do they need for babies? Is it hats as well, or do they need other items? I could manage some more hats nad could try other things if they were simple! I have seen the address for preemies on another thread, so know where to send things.

Hi Maureen,I sent hats,cardigans and a blanket.

We are always in need of everything but sadly we are running low on burial items and cardies

Just a thought Shelley, ok I’m being a little lazy, why don’t you add the preemies website address to your signature strip. I have used some of the patterns that are on the website to make things for you but have to keep hunting down the website in one of the other threads. I was going to post it for Maureen a couple of posts above but then it will always be available or easy to find!!!
