Jack’s hamsters were always escaping, once Helen climbed into the back of the china cabinet and wee’d in a cup!  sick Archimedes was always plittong escape, and Hadrian used to just try to barge his way out. Luring them out of their hiding places with food, at night, is the best approach.

sorry about your goldfish, Heidi.

Thanks for the sympathies, he wasn’t so well anyway, I chose him because he had a lopsided tail, a bit like Nemo’s fin! As soon as the good pet shop is open again on Tuesday I’ll go and see if I can find a suitable replacement.

Gosh Gill that car looks so funny peering over the edge of the kitchen unit....can you believe it I am terrified of cats...honestly.  Looking at pictures of them is the closest I can handle them.

HI NESSA

when we first got a cat my neighbour stopped coming round for coffee and natters as she is petrified of cats as well. As she always seemed to be in our house I think H was glad to see the back of her!!!! red face

I had many hamsters and many escapees. I once had one called Casablanca whoused to go for a walk then put himself back to bed. My brother had one from the same litter that also escaped but lived behind the toilet. We used to see him scurry along every now and then but never caught him. As far as I know he was still there when we moved, freaking out the new owners no doubt.
