I was recently sent a set of knifty knitter looms from a friend in america. A set of four round looms. I have to say I LOVE them. there are a few sites offering free patterns for them.

I find them fast and easy to use. YES you are limited in what you can make and it is best to use thick yarns, or several threads of yarn at once.

So far I have made dog jumpers, hats, bags and legwarmers on mine.

I just love them, but they dont beat knitting with needles I have to say, as there are far more patterns and techniques you can use. But theyre well worth a try in my view.

I love my nifty knit looms! I have the set of 4 round ones and the 4 long ones. As I make alot of hats and scarfs for charity I find these perfect to use as they are so quick to use! (and yes i do knit quick but these are even quicker!)

I remember having a small homemade one, think it was 4 nails on a wooden cotton reel! Then I got an ungraded (???) shop bought dolly one!

I am quite addicted to them and there are loads of free patterns and tutorials out there. I’ve had mine a few years now, didn’t know anything about them just saw them and a pattern booklet for 75p and thought sounds interesting....

Have a look on U-tube for how-to videos.
