Hello everyone.

I joined a couple of days ago, after buying issue 7 of “Let’s knit”.  I’ve been knitting since I was 5 years old.  I made all the cardigan’s, jumpers, hats, scarves, gloves and baby clothes for my family, then I gave up in the 1990’s, I think I’d done so much, that I just got fed up with it.  I’ve got myself back in to it though.  I love reborn dolls and knit for those.

I’m becoming addicted to 2ply and have become a bit of a spendaholic on Ebay.  I’ve got quite a stash of both yarn and patterns.

Unfortunatly I have to work full time, so my knitting is done on an evening.  I’m looking forward to retirement, when I will have as much time as I like for this lovely hobby.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you all.

Nell

Thank you for your welcomes.  I live near Wakefield.  When my girls were all tiny, I used to go buy my wool from the mills in Batley.  I got some lovely mohair from one, knit my eldest a cardigan with it.  She was 5 years old at the time, she took one look and said she wasn’t wearing it as it was covered in “dog hair”.  She’s never been allowed to forget that.

Hello Nell...welcome from a Scottish knitter...great to have you on the forum.  We’re a mixed bunch here of all ages and very friendly...even us non sock knitters wink I’m a granny and have been knitting for almost 40 years now and seem lately to have become addicted all the more to it.  This forum is great and if any of us need help with something there is always plenty at hand...someone usually jumps in to the rescue.  Enjoy the forum Nell and happy knitting.
