I was wondering (and hoping it isn’t just me who has this problem!) But I seem to have little or no self control.  Especially where knitting is concerned!  I am off to Spain in a few weeks, and while I’m there the next issue of LK is out!  So, do I leave the latest issue nicely wrapped in its coat, and take it with me for my “fix”?  Do I b***ery!!  No No its no thought of Spain just rips open the mag and then days later thinks to itself O dear, I not got a knit mag to read on hols now.

I think I may have started to sound a but like Gollum then out of Lord of The Rings!

Is it just me???  LOL

I have to say there is no self control where knitting is concerned, not for me anyway. If there was I wouldn’t have such a huge stash, I would be able to go on ebay and come back off without bidding on anything knit related, I would have only one project at a time on the go, and I wouldn’t spend as much time on here as I do sleeping!!! oh and my house would be permanently spotless because I would be able to put my pins down or leave the pc alone. And because of all the above hubby would be less moody because he wouldn’t have to squish over on his pedastal to make way for knitting!!!

Well thank goodness for that!  At least I’m not the only (knittynutter? - NO OFFENCE NICKY!) It really is a knitters thing isn’t it!  I go to a local wool shop where they hold a knitting club, and the lady who owns the shop is as nutty as I am.  Although it has to be said her and my birthdays are the same day so maybe it’s more a Gemini thing than a knitting thing because other ladies at the club aren’t as bad as we are!  I have looked at E-Bay but not bought anything because I think it’s probably best!  I already have a stash up in the loft which I have FAITHFULLY PROMISED my Hubby that I will knit up!!

OOh so close - me and Jo (the owner of the shop) are June 12th!
I have been pretty good recently, am currently knitting a bag for Jo’s birthday - OUT OF MY STASH!! But having said that I wanted to knit “Lee” from LK 6 (I think) and rather fell in love with Elle Escapade - which the Saintly Hubby bought for me.  So that’s sitting in the knitting bag partly done while I crack on with Jo’s present cos I not got long to get it done, Spain beckons June 3!  I also gotta do a birthday present for Auntie (June 18) who lives in Spain and pressie not even started! Ohoh!

In regard to wool talking to you - it is sheer hell - I go to the knit Club every week, and I also go to Beading classes at the same shop so it is that heaven/hell situation cos so much lovely wool but no money!  I just have to shut my eyes!!

My daughters bday is June 12th and my nephew.
My local knit club meets in a pub!! If I had anything more than a diet coke I wouldn’t be able to knit so thats pretty safe. I can’t handle alcohol since I had the boys one glass of wine can give me a hangover without the good bit beforehand. I do indulge at home or round my friends house just very rarely, theres half a bottle been open in the fridge for nearly three weeks, I won’t drink it now I’ll just end up cooking with it instead! Hey, there I found some self control its just not knit related!!

Thank you Gill, for your kind words!

Can I ask LK to keep this page on the site FOREVER AND EVER so that if my Hubby ever says I am a nutter I can show him this page - which proves I’m not!  LOL

Well I gotta say after you found some self control, Nicky, I was hoping I might!  But hubby just got in from work - asked if I had had breakfast (which as I been on here...) no not had any yet - “oh” he says.  Gotta get some DIY bits - fancy getting some brekkie out?  Oh dear there goes that ounce of self control I thought I had!  So here I am heading off to (probably Morrisons) for a lovely fry-up!  Yummy!

You most certainly aren’t a nutter or alone, just checked out your flickr page and left a comment. I don’t mind people looking at mine, the pics I don’t want people to see I’ve kept as private.
I’ll be first to admit to being nosey and love looking at other peoples stuff so it’s only right to give them the chance to do the same back, I think its nice to put faces to names as well.
Having your knit club in your local LYS and having to sit with all that oohhh beautiful soft yarn, isn’t like a form of chinese water torture???

I must be going senile = I opened up the box to type message forgot what I wanted to put!

Oh yes that’s it - yes it is a bit of chinese water torture sitting in a yarn shop - especially when she gets the new stuff in - she just got Filatura something something (Italian) which is aboslutely beautiful - like Sirdar Blur only more cloud like!  Even worse is at Beading - when you are struggling with a stitch it is all too easy to get distracted by what’s covering all the walls of the shop!

Anyway he ready to go so will check back with you all later!
