Recently on the cover of Simply Knitting (I know what a traitor!), they had a gift called a knitting counter.  It was a small plastic square with several markers that counted rows but also markers where you could count how many increases, decreases or times as you knitted.

I find it really useful but can only use it on one project at a time.  I’ve done internet searches but can’t find anything similar and someone is offering it for sale on Ebay with a few other bits, but I resent someone making a profit at my expense for something that came free on a magazine.

Does anyone know where I can find something like this?

Looks like you’ll have 2 more Clare, but that should be good as you said you needed a different one for each project on the go!! tongue wink

Thank you to everyone whose offered to send me one.  I’m ever so grateful - I can’t believe I can’t find anything similar on line, but if you don’t use them then maybe it’s just me that finds it useful.

I was interested to see the abacus.  How do other people count their rows, decreases, times pattern worked etc then? I used to use a standard knitting needle row counter and have a note book by the side of me.
