Hi all!

Been knitting since I was a kid...but now starting to get into it really seriously - it’s Ebay’s fault! My friends say my place looks like I’m trying to open a wool shop - I can’t help it there is sooooo much gorgeous wool around! Good job my knitting pattern collection is quite big too - and growing… (Ebay again!)

Anyway, what with all this wool and patterns I’m looking for a Stitch n Bitch in the Southend on Sea area (or near-ish...don’t drive so will have to get Dial A Ride or blag a lift off a friend...). Stuck in the house unless someone comes to take me out (disability-related issues mean I am a hazard to everyone’s health and safety out alone in my wheelchair)...so any chance to get out, socialise and indulge in yarn-related activity with friendly folk would be great!

Fingers crossed...well, not for too long or that would interfere with the knitting...!

Hi droppee,
From one ebay addicted nut to another welcome to the forum. As maximac hats says Ebay a really bad place to go!!
Sorry I live in Birmingham so too far even for a very helpful mate but keep looking loads of people joining all the time so you should hit jackpot sooner or later. I’m still hopeful.

I am looking for a club too but in the dagenham or romford area.  I use to go to a patchwork class in East Ham and loved it, but lady retired.

So if anyone out there is in my area and would like to set up one with me, get in touch.

Umm, may not be too good but I go to a Knitting group at Bodkins wool shop in Thundersley Village, which I think is not far from Southend, although maybe that’s not far in a car.  (Poet - don’t know it?) lol.  Anyway, club is on a Tuesday afternoon 1pm til 3pm and/or Saturday morning 10am-12 noon.  It is £2.50 per session.  The lady who owns the shop is Jo, and the lady who runs the knitting club is Kim. We are a friendly bunch and always welcome new people.  smile
