Morning everyone,

Don’t worry, I haven’t left. Just a recent spell of bad luck. Went to doc on Tuesday over ingrown toenail and crashed on the way home. Have written off the bike and sprained wrist, but wrist starting to get a bit better. Knitting is out for a bit. Luckily no one else was involved and I’m alive which is the main thing.

Hope everyone else is keeping well?

Hi Fergus, Thank heavens your ok and shame about your bike. An injury where you cannot knit just has to be the worst!!!
Cheryl hurry up to them shops and get your LK brfore it disappears off those shelves (you too fergus). Fab patterns this month.
The weather here is very muggy today, sticky hot but no sunshine. Thanks to all this glorious weather I have a literal mountain of ironing because its all been dried on the line. I’m just debating wethter to bring it all upstairs into Lukes room and listen to Knitty Nora’s podcasts whilst I’m doing it, I’ve only listened to the first few and really enjoyed them and always I forget to put them on whilst I’m sat here taping away. I think there are a fair few backlogged by now!
Hope all you ladies have a wonderful day and Natalie hope your exam goes well. I’ll leave you a note as soon as I have been to the post office.

Fergus, I think that’s your three bad things over with!  Glad you’re ok. Maybe you could try crochet with the wrist that’s ok?

Here in Stockport the weather is undecided as yet. But after spending all day yesterday with my nephew Theo in the garden, and with the new Let’s Knit being gettable today, I don’t think I care!

Here’s a picture of Theo very proud of the shepherd’s pie he made (helped to make anyway) a couple of weeks ago.

You can see why he’s the light of my life can’t you?

I came across Knitty Nora’s podcasts a couple of days ago, they are wonderful. I can’t recommend them enough. you can get them through i-tunes or direct from her site http://knittynora.mypodcast.com/

The bits recorded at her knitting group are particularly funny - they kind of remind of this forum - very different people brought together by a common bond, and most quite mad!

Someone on here recommended Knitty Nora quite a while ago can’t remember who ( dreadfully sorry whoever you are, I have four kids and a brain like a sieve, even knitting related stuff is escaping these days)and thought she was great. I just haven’t got round to listening to any more for quite a while, although I did nominate her yesterday for best podcast in the awards!!

FREYA is gorgeous. We went to see GINA today and I got to make a big fuss because LITI was a.t playschool. we will see them both at the weekend and in the meantime I am seeing more of Emily 7yrs as she is just discovering the joys of crafting. How much easier it is with Grandkids.  LOL
