Hi everyone. Friday night knitting club, think it’s by Kate Jacobs, is a brilliant book. can get it cheap from internet auctions sites too. Also Divas don’t knit is another good book. Found out that if I have a book open on the table, weighted down with a placemat across the top, then I can knit at the same time. Not that I’m obssessive about knitting, of course!!

I’ve read friday night and loved it but my friend didn’t think much of it though, mind you she’s not a knitter. Hoping to get knitting circle for easter from hubby but I will also need an chocolate egg for when i’m reading as I can’t knit and read at same time, slow enough at knitting at best of time!

Hello, can someone please give me the ISBN number for these books because i wouldnt mind reading them.  I am a knitaholic too. My “favourite time of day” is when after a days work and dealing with the hubby and kids, is to sit up in bed with the lamp on, a cup of tea and a good hobbie book.  So would be greatfull if someone could tell me about these books.

I enjoyed both of those. There’s a rumour that friday night knitting club is going to be made into a movie with Julia Roberts playing the lead. That sounds great.

I read the Friday Night Knitting Club and really enjoyed it. A movie is being made with Julia Roberts as Georgia - wonder what that’ll be like?

I’ve got The Knitting Circle but haven’t started it yet and I’ll definitely look out for Divas Don’t Knit. I’ll pop into Sainsbury’s at the weekend.

I got the audiobook version of Divas Don’t Knit out of the library and quite enjoyed listening to it while knitting (it comes as a set of 10 CDs).  I didn’t enjoy the Friday Night Knitting Club though, which my mum had bought for me because of the word knitting in the title.
