well I just spent the last 2 to 3 months knitting Joma from lets knit 4 (I think)

I had to frog it several times because I hadnt knitted for so long and was desperately out of practise. But finally yesterday I stitched it all up and it was wonderful.

Trouble is I had read the pattern wrong, all the way through, and hubby looked as if he was wearing a poncho designed for orang-utans

arrrgggghhhhh shut eye

that must be so frustrating!  confused

At least you wont make that mistake again with the pattern! Happens to the best of experienced knitters i’m sure!

Hi Comfrey! You have my sympathy. I am currently wearing a jumper I made for myself and trying to work out how to get it to fit. I think my tension must have been way off - the off the shoulder neck line is so off the shoulder that it slips down to my elbows!
Argh indeed!

Yup, I did that a few months ago for myself,a jacket in sirdar denim ultra which fortunately didn’t take to long being as though its so chunky. It is hhhuuggee. I came to put a button on to fasten it at my bust and found the biutton hole by my belly button. It’s stll behind the settee waiting for me to be bored enough to unravel and reknit it two sizes smaller!!!!

I have made a glaring mistake in a simple baby pattern and I could kick myself but it is too far in to frog now. It will be OK but I know it is there.  downer I did put this on earlier but I think it got lost among the thread on bamboo pins.!!!

It looks lovely Gill I’m sure it will suit Georgina beautifully. I tried looking for that magic yarn last week but I think house of Fraser have stopped selling James C. Brett. Thats the problem with being a perfectionist you know the mistakes there and even though noone else can see it you can’t see past it.!!
