I have just received my subs copy of Lets knit, oh wow!! I want to make it all, the booklet is excellant, the needles are G.O.R.geous!!!
Gonna go hide with my needles, yarn and booklet and not come out til I’ve knitted the lot!!!!xxx
the best bit for me about the new issue is it prompted me to check out the website. I’ve never used forums etc before today and i have to admit I felt very nervous about posting anything and not getting any replies. But I took the plunge and i am very glad that I did. I had some fantastic replies, some great encouragement and assurances that I’m not alone. So not only did I receive my fab new mag with at least 3 or 4 projects I cant wait to start, I can brag to my older kids that I taught myself how to do something new on the pc and also I am not the only sad mad old biddy who loves the world of knitting. nicky
Well we’re very glad to have you here, KnitterNicky! We’re all loving the forum and having the chance to chat to our readers about their projects and ideas.
Make sure to check out the rest of the site too, we’ve got some great competitions and Laura’s got a blog, too (maybe that could be your next step into the world of online knitting - becoming a knit-blogger!?)
I got mine too but being a crocheter rather than a knitter I’ve got a list of things for my mum to make me, starting with the jumper on the cover! But in exchange I’ve to make her the funky bag, fairs fair!
that does seem fair! There was a bit of a discussion recently about whether crochet should be included in Let’s Knit and I for one am so happy that its there. It makes such a different fabric compared to knitting. What have you been making, other than bags for your Mum?
I love the mag. I’d like to knit Little Angelique for my 4 year old niece, but is it just me or are the instructions just for the adult sizes??? Seems unfair if the pictures are mostly of little angelique not the adult project.
The smallest size given is for Little Angelique - it has a chest measurement of 61cm (24inches) The instructions are the same for both Angelique and Little Angelique - it’s just the sizing that’s different.

Been busy making hats and socks and other little odds and ends as i am selling at a craft fair on saturday, but got my aminurgami book and want to make EVERYTHING!

Oh Yeah! I’m such a div! Just spotted that! Now off to order Sublime kid mohair. I like the pistachio and pink
Hi Kim...I’m going to do this little number too for my little grand daughter who is lives in the Netherlands. I am just about finished the’ flower power’ sweater from issue 4 and will be sending it off to her as soon as. Her mama does not have anyone on her side of the family who knits so is always happy to have me knit for Maya and her as well. So I am happy to be able to do so knowing that they will appreciate them. So maybe we can compare notes on the ‘little Angelique’ cardi as we go along.
I also spotted the site through the magazine - and I must say I am impressed! Well done guys!
I’m very glad you’ve decided to include a bit on crochet in the magazine as well. Crochet was my first love but is sadly lacking in modern patterns. How would readers go about submitting their own patterns?
I’ve already been using the fabulous free needles, they’re perfect for the bold scarf I am making.
