Hi Gilly, I use a 2 needle sock pattern which is from a vintage pattern. but am sure if you go into one of the pattern sites you will find what you are looking for.

i have never tried socks, but i might have a go with the free dpns from lets knit, i looked at the paterns and they look really dificult, it will be after christmas before i get the chance or even the desire to do them, by then i would have forgotten anyway

If the S*** nuts know you want to make them they will be egging you on. There is an ongoing plot to get me knitting them but they won’t win as I cannot stand hand knitted s****!!!!!!!! cheese I have made them in the past and I will not be doing it again in a hurry but they are not difficult. I just find more satisfaction in “proper” knitting. LOL

i never tried to knit them- really like some of them but they just seem a bit to “faffy” with all the needles and the heel etc- cant say i’ll try.

Paulac I have a pattern for socks from a magazine 2 pins no heel shaping just simple knitting. Do you want it I have knitted my first sock in 40 odd years and now have the bug, I don’t have the equipment to scan it on to the site or I would and everyone could have a copy.
