Just looked through my needles and have found an unmarked set of wooden needles what i got from a charity shop for 59p, measured with my gauge and they are 15mm so you are welcome to them as i have some already.  Will have a look for the 12mm while in the charity shops this afternoon.

Quite a few have them under the counter (with the mucky mags wink LOL ) you might need to ask, but as said they usually only have standard sizes, but I’ve grabbed a few as spares etc, and if am doing a couple of things on same size needles, they usually sell them quite cheaply x Janet

Hi Wendy,
You may already know this but in case you don’t (and for anyone else in the vicinity of Bury) the Bury Hospice Charity shop on the Rock has loads of needles under the counter, lots of patterns (if you wait long enought they might even come back in fashion!) and quite often get wool in.  Help the Aged also has a wool basket.

Went in Help the Aged today and got 2 balls of james Brett chunky marble 200g each for £1.49 a ball and then they had some navy chunky 50g balls for 49p got 12 of them for scarves and hats for Christmas.  Went in PDSA and got a soap making kit for £3.50 (might make some soap to go with my flannels smile ) Then went in habiknit and got my wool for the christmas stockings.  So all in all had a good afternoon.

That’s great Wendy!  I see that I’ll have some competition to find the bargain wool in Bury charity shops!!!  grin Help the Aged seems good, I got about 400g of bright pink mohair last week for 1.99 (think it was left over from the 80s!) No idea what to do with it but it’s a great colour and couldn’t resist!

Should have mentioned Wilkinsons on the Rock too, they’ve got a wool section now and had really nice stuff for 99p and buy 1 get 1 free.

I wanted to go to Wilkinson’s but by the time i got out of habinits i had 3 minutes left on the car park so missed out.  You will probably get more of the bargains because i only get to Bury about once a fortnight now that i will be going back to work.
