Just picked up my copy of LK. i like the sock book but I think the needles are a bit on the long side for socks. I think 5” is a lot better! Still, I suppose at that length you could use them for other things as well - tea cosies come to mind, or hats.
I still haven’t ventured into the world of socks yet, (hope Gill isn’t listening) I suppose I have lots of other things i like to knit first, I noticed yesterday that my daughter likes different socks, but am not in a hurry to start any, maybe one day, I’ve only used double ended for i-cord so far ! x Janet
I’ve never seen shorter ones. I’m knitting socks for my son at the moment on 20cm long 2.5mm DPNs and I’m managing ok even though it’s fiddlier doing socks for little feet!

He has been in bed for hours and snoring like a walrus!!!!!He will see the empty glass in the morning and say “oh yes???” and I will tell him it is allowed as I am a grownup..
