That’s it cheese
That baby jacket I showed you??? well all sorted except the finishing.  I’ve done it in lilac and blue, and blue and lilac ... looks rather smart!  The fairisle flower border though required a bit of concentration as it was a huge long repeat and each line of the 10 was different.

Fantastic, really really beautiful, but the spec for the competition was a jacket and I toyed with the idea of dividing the front with a garter stitch border,to make it into a jacket, but I thought it might not look so good and it was a lot of work.  I do, however, think it is beautiful and may well just knit it anyway and pop it by ... just in case DD should choose to go there someday.
Meanwhile, I will be finishing top for me, but am looking for sweaters for GDs ... there are couple of nice ones in the Tadpoles & Tiddlers books ... their birthday is the last day of Sept.

Well you never know, she might surprise you one day.

There are so many beautiful things to kit these days that is difficult to choose. Even, dare I say it???? S****. But I would not be doing any of them at ANY time.
I am thinking of slippers as I have some patterns which are really lovely, but I would put some kind of leather sole on them.
Too many nice cardies first wink

I watched Green for Danger with Alistair Sim on the telly recently - really love him, so ghoulish and so funny at the same time.

Well ... I knit in the back room and my pc is in the front room,so I hear it ping when an email comes in and I throw the knitting into the chair and run along the hall.  Then it turns out to be spam, so I swear profusely, and run back. Less than a minute later I hear it ping again, I think “bollocks, more spam” and ignore it and it is Pod and GG all of a go go, and I think “bollocks, late again”.  So I sit here and wang my little words back ...
Then I smile ...
Cos actually its a good life, and there’s a little pea pod out there just knitting and chatting
and there’s a GG out there galloping away ...
and it’s nice to know you have buddies out there in the computer world!
xxx

Sorry I didn’t ping you again the other night. Or maybe I saved you from another oops? Decided to give in and focus on one thing at a time.
I used to use my work computer (naughty girl) but have got my own now. Haven’t quite got my head around the fact that it’s okay to leave it on during the evening even if I’m not using it at that time. Keep switching it on and off. No reason to go through that palaver all the time though so I think I’ll start keeping it on. Much more sensible. grin
