Just thought you might like to know that the lout who dented my car door about 4 weeks ago attended court last week.

He got 30 hours community service and has got to pay me £150 damages.  They are taking it from his benefits.

Goodnight all.

Good for you!  At least you got some ‘justice’.  Sadly, I don’t suppose the lout responsible will learn his lesson.  They never do!

We have had our car window broken 3 times in the last 2 years, and kids keep running over the top of it, have had the police out loads of times, we even know who it is, but they dont seem to be able to do anything about it, they tell us to put the car in the garage we have, the previous owners built it round a Fiat, and we have an estate, so it wont fit! If we ever get an extension, we will rebuild it hopefully

But will you get your money all in one go?  At least something was done about it.

It might not seem like much but at least it went to court and he was guilty. Too often these days they aren’t even arrested. Nice to hear of some justice at least.
Good for you for following through with it as well Sue. There’s a lot of people out there who would have just written it off out of fear of reprisals.

I’m glad something was done.

I would be horrified if my kids did anything like that, if only aggression & destruction was going through their minds. what a wasted life.

Good for you, its not much but the principal, hopefully he will have learned something. There was a suggestion that people doing comm. ser. should be made to wear a jacket or something to tell the world I DID WRONG but of course its not PC I know a lot of ladies who would gladly knit white jackets that tie the arms at the back to keep them out of trouble. Just an idea.

Hi all,

I have been trying to get through to the telephone number the police gave me in writing, to talk to them about claiming the money, but as usual, its engaged all the time.

I have e-mailed them now. But I wont give up cause my car needs repairing.

Who knows if these kids learn their lesson. He had six previous convictions so I dont suppose he will.

Speak to ya all later.

Love Sues
