Hey everyone,

Just found out that my cousin will have a baby in january, my mum is making up a little hamper with baby essentials in it and I was thinking it would be really nice to knit a jumper for the little one to add to it.. i’ve been looking online for a simple pattern but can’t seem to find anything that I could do!

Any suggestions as to where I can find a simple pattern without any fancy stitch patterns or double pointed needles (I just cannot handle those things!)

Thank you!

AARRGGH!!! I was reading my reply when all the power went off, didn’t think it’d be a problem cos laptop battery kicked in- but when I came back from putting power back on again bloomin wireless connectivity had been lost hadn’t it!! Anyway all I’d said was Sirdar 1756 is a good pattern, I’m knitting the set at the mo, jumper, bootees hat and blanket.  Its shown on a boy but Tiny Tots (the yarn used) is also available in a gorgeous cream - shade 0958.  If you can’t sort out anything else or fancy giving it a try PM me and I will scan it for you - I can’t send you the pattern itself I’m afraid as I’m using it!

Hi Natalie. Have you got any early Lets Knit mags? I can`t remember which Issue but there was a booklet called Hey Baby. There`s a pattern for a jumper & a slipover that are easy to do. I don`t like doing any hard patterns & I`ve done the slipover. If you are interested I can e-mail or scan the pattern for you to look at. If I can do it, you can LOL !

Hey!!

Im afraid I dont have any of the early lets knit mags I only started buying it about 3 issues ago! I need the pattern to be easy enough and the one you’ve mentioned sounds good, it would be fantastic if you could email/scan the pattern if its not too much trouble! I’ll definitly give it a go!

the above is a hoodie type I knitted loads for Freya from small to big ! and she wore them which is the big test, you can alter then size also by using different wool and size needles, remember that they are american patterns so then needles size might need ajusting, it was dead easy to make, was one of the first things I did when my daughter was pregnant with Freya x Janet
