I have got some real bargains in the end of John Lewis sale but I have to go and hide it all before hubby comes home. Biggest bargain though Rowan Summer Tweed, 50p a hank because they put the wrong colour code on the label. I bought the last 8. Went back to see what else they had and the rest was reduced down again to £1.15 a ball. I bought another 6. Right I’m off to hide most of it (I’ll own up to some now) Hubby’s early finish today. Speak to you all soon.

My bigga wool arrived today and is gorgeous, not sure if I can master the pattern though, will need to visit someone and see what she thinks, (and then beg someone else to knit it wink ) Was a great bargain though so am glad it was nice,
My hubby has no idea what wool comes into the house at all, my lovely postman leaves a note in the outside box and then puts it in the shed !!  So if I do get caught I can usually justify, (is amazing how much wool you can get in charity shops red face ) Anyway he loves McDonalds beefburgers so we spend a tenner a go on that at least with wool you see something for your money, doesn’t just go down the loo cheese x Janet

I get mine delivered to work and as I get home before he does, he’s no idea of what comes in and out of our house.  I don’t feel a bit guilty, he’s got 6 train sets hidden in his wardrobe.

I AM SO ENVI0US OF YOU NICKY...(excuse me shouting) but I love the Rowan Summer Tweed and have been looking at it in Sue’s shop (Sewing basket Sue from forum) What colour did you get? I can’t make up my mind between the green or the teracotta and I also liked the natural....and what do you think you will knit up with it OH gosh...I am nosey..aren’t I.  But this wool is just lovely.  Now I am wondering if we could manage a wee...just a wee visit up to Glasgow JL tomorrow...if he wins at bowls tonight I think I will suggest it tongue wink LOL

Ha! My hubby goes out on the weekends and has beer at the local club, I dont drink so stay home and knit, he used to smoke too, so wool is my vice! It doesnt hurt anyone else, unless you knit a cover for a brick and lob it at someone!!

This is a quick sneak while the boys are in the bath.
Cheryl, I don’t seem able to help myself when it cames to yarn, but it’s my only vice. I don’t drink or smoke but hubby doesand spends much more than I do. Nessa I bought 8 pink and 6 blue.
Debbie Bliss Stella was 95p a ball and Cathay was £1.35. Patons cotton wa 85p and there wwas some bamboo, sirdar £1.50 and some wendy that was even cheaper I think. There was some other Debbie Bliss as well a chunky and a cotton but not to sure on the prices but at laest half price. A lot of the stuff was marked up more expensive than it was at the till because they haven’t got round to relabeling it. Most of the Rowan is also cheaper than at House of Fraser but I still went in there and got a few other bits.
Oops forgot to say to you ladies that don’t live near John Lewis, (I am soooo tempted to blow a raspberry here but I won’t LOL ) they do sell yarn online but I’m not sure if the sale is online so it may be worth checking out.
