Faye pattern in issue 8

Has anyone tried to make the faye bolero in issue 8. I’ve done the back and i’m struggling with the front peices because they come out shorter than the back!! driving me mad!! arggg!!

Thanks, i think i’m going to start on the arms and then worry bout the front another day...i mgiht have done the back wrong - too many rows or something. i hate making something for the first time cos you don’t know how to play with it to make it right. but i’ve bout the wool now so i’m going to finish it!!! x

Good for you. If Janet does’nt see your post I will ring her and tell her. I know she was struggling with the pattern a bit.

I DID !!!!  red face Did the back fine, and then started the front, but I gave up, (even after ringing Gill for advice,) might have another go perhaps, but lifes too short so I started and finished another one since then ! Good luck hope you do it, it is so pretty x Janet

When starting a pattern like that it is always best to do the fronts first then you can adjust the back length to suit waht you have done. Do hre other side if the 2 sides are the same you just have to adjust the back and it will save you a lot of work.

Thanks girls!! i’m going to have a row counting session later and see what has happened. then adjust the front or something....maybe just start again grrr. i’m determined cos it’s so pretty and needs to go with a dress for my cousins wedding - end of august so i’ve got time hopefully!
