You might wonder what has hoovering to do with knitting! I forgot my 4ply project was on the floor and sucked some of it into the hoover which has stretched the one corner. I like to pick it up and do a little bit on occasion as 4ply takes so long. Do you think just soaking that corner into some warm water then let it drip dry will bring back the shape, Now you know how a senior moment can bring you to well almost tears after youv’e kicked yourself up the bum.

Oh dear, maybe thats one use for my kids after all, I don’t tend leave things lying around on the floor in case they try and “help” me whilst I’m out the room.

Thank you for your advise and I can see the towel would be a better idea to absorb some of the water and then lie flat. Great. I’m not so fortunate to have young ones running about, you tend to forget and get into the habit of leaving everything lying about. I have a chair and it is full of my stuff never mind whats behind it. I am in a club called Readers Union/crafts, any one else? I have bought several items that I haven’t seen anywhere else (though they don’t do wool) the last things I ordered got me a free gift which was a book of accesories, mitts, wrist warmers, hooded cape, scarfs etc. It has some neat ideas plus the book I managed to get in the charity shop has some lovely edgings, so don’t be stuck for ideas.
