I want to tackle an Octopus Wash Mitt (or several - I have various young nieces).  Hopefully will get to a local yarn shop tomorrow and will then post piccies/progress.

I’ve ordered wool for the candy jumper with buttons on in the latest issue. So when it arrives I will need some encouragement to start and then keep going because there’s alot of ribbing.

I’ve made some progress on the cardi: back and left front now complete.

It looks gorgeous, your niece is very lucky.

whatever sticks in your mind when you close the mag, “first thought, best thought” I usually find.

I’ve ordered wool for the candy jumper with buttons on in the latest issue.

Me too smile

But I’m doing it in different colours to those shown and I’m not putting on the buttons.

I’m quite excited about the wool though. They say its the best selling yarn in the States. I dont know if thats true or not.

So if you fancy a knitting partner I’ll let you know when my wool arrives.

Mind you I’m struggling through that lovely jumper for the chaps from last months issue at the moment and I havent even finished the back yet web.gif

I would be happy to join in a knit along - as long as it’s not socks. I just don’t get the whole sock thing!

Hi Comfrey,

My wool arrived a few weeks ago. I’m using green wool, just not the colour in the mag. Haven’t decided on buttons yet. I’m moving between knitting, cross stitch and patchwork projects. Just using the school hols to get some making stuff done. Am currently kniting another pair of socks and a cardi I started a while ago. Let me know when you wool arrives. What colour have you chosen?

Hi Phoebe smile

I had to ring up paviyarns because my wool hadnt arrived and apparently theyre getting a deluge of requests.

I wonder why .......

Anyway it should be here in about a week because they have to order from the States. So I’ll let you know when I’m ready to start. I have to warn you though, I’m not fast.

I’ve ordered the dusky pink with a burgundy trim, which is something completely different from my norm. But I fancied a change smile

it sounds a good colour combo. I’ve got the yarn to make that for my daughter, I had better get a move on before its out of fashion!
