HELP! I bought a Patwin wool cutter from Ebay, the lady seller sells lots of odd things, and doesnt necessarily know alot about them, just that they are old, etc. Unfortunately it doesnt have a blade, and I am at a loss as to where to get one so I can use it! This is probably a long shot question, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!! Doesnt look like a razor blade would do, must get camera set up so can post piccies

I have had a rootle round the sites and there is a IRMA woolcutter on e.bay for sale and the pic shows a double sided blade being used. It is one of the oldfashioned style razor blades with two sides and according to “HWN” you can still buy these razor blades.

Don’t know if this is any help, but I don’t know the cutter you have got.

Cuts wool to size to use in latch hooking, easier than sitting there with scissors I should think!

Just got home and sworn! Got so engrossed in John Lewis looking at the cheap Rowan that I forgot all about blades, had to get back as had locked gate, my poor daughter doesnt have the key for that!! Ho hum, thanks for offering, gonna have a look for some somewhere, soon! Going to try and post some piccies too, dunno how you make them smaller, as trying to upload from Flickr seems not to be working, will have to ask the Oracle (hubby) when he gets home from London later, he knows lots bout pcs!

That looks to be exactly the same as the one on e.bay atm. It will need the two edged blades.

Looks like it, the one on ebay had a knob on the top but there isnt a place for that on my one, the cover comes off at the front via a screw, and blade fits inside, will have to give it to hubby, bit more technically minded than me
