Doing the button and button hole bands on cardigans.  If I didn’t have hot flushes, I’d never knit a cardigan again.  Trouble is, it’s so much easier to strip off when you are wearing a cardigan.

I hate those so I crochet them. Much quicker and, I think, neater.

The hot flushes DO get a bit better as you get older!!!!!! wink

Sewing up, definitely.  I’ve got several UFOs which are only UFOs because I can’t face sewing them together.

Purling.

The above two reasons explain why I like knitting in the round so much!

Haven’t got too many pet hates to be honest.  Everyone dislikes sewing up cuz it’s the most boring part of a project. I don’t like picking up stitches around an edge cuz I always make a total mess of it and end up with holes!  Think I’ll do that casting on and making an edge seperately and sewing it on thing in future!

I also hate when you cast off and at the very last stitch, it never sits neatly and just looks messy when you come to sewing it all up!  Sewing in ends of thread is a pain as well but I’m always paranoid that if I don’t and just knot it off and cut it, the whole thing will unravel!

I had a brain wave about that but have yet to try it out - I thought about winding the wool around a toilet roll tube.  I’ve had a nightmare with one of the skeins of sock yarn I got.  I’ve managed to make some into a ball but the rest of it is so knotted up I had to put it away in a bag to sort out later before I got really upset about it!

Knots in wool
Not having enough wool - despite buying the exact amount stated on the pattern!

Have you tried crocheting them together?  Makes the seam a little more bulky but you may find it better.
