What’s the name of the yarn?

Hello
I’d like to give the shawl pattern printed in the latest (August) edition of the mag a go, but haven’t brought it with me so I can go to my LYS!  Does anyone know the name of the yarn used in the pattern?  It was the shawl you could knit using the free ginormous needles which came with this months’ edition.
The yarn was some kind of silky one; it looked lovely.  Also, if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative, I’d be grateful to hear about it!
Thanks very much.

If you’re talking about Narelle, it’s made with Manos Silk Blend.  I think I’m going to do this to, maybe for a Christmas present for a friend so will be looking into wool and wool alternatives, but they do have lovely colours.

I’m thinking of trying that too.  However I can’t afford that type of yarn,so I’m substituting for something else.  How on earth can you fit over 100 stitches on such short needles though??

I would do it on long circular needles.
