I have managed to take a not very clever pic of my knitting but don’t know where to start about posting it on to the site. All of you lovely people HELP!!!!

When you go to “post reply” at the bottom it says “browse” When you cick on that your photos should come up and then you choose the pic you want. Click on that and it should come into the browse box. Then click PREVIEW and when it has sorted itself out you can click the send button. You need to make sure the pics are within 600x600pixels. If they are not after you have clicked preview it will tell you.

I have tried as you suggested and the pic has not come out. It is only a 300 pixel camera shoould I get a better one

Thank you for your help I have even tried sending it to word and resizing but it won’t accept word documents. I am going to have to be cleverer than that but I will get there in the end.

Have you tried resizing it using a flickr account, they are easy to set up and free.

I use photobucket, that helps to resize them.

I will try flicker but where is photobucket!

When it comes to the computer I am vertically challenged. I joined flicker but what do I do next? Please treat me as a child that you are teaching to read and HEEEEELP!!!!!

knitternicky I have managed to download my pic onto flickr so now how do I down load it to here and how do I get the IP address under my name and all shiny.

Ooh you are talking to someone else technically challenged. You can resize it on flickr down to small (click on the pic and then on the all sizes icon above the pic. Then click on small where your pic will shrink and then on download small size). Then you need download the resized pic back onto your pc, somewhere where its easy to find like on your desktop or in your pictures. You can always delete it back off after you have posted your pic.
To add pics onto the forum you need to click on post reply (not fast reply) put your txt in what you want to say and then click on browse at which point your picture file should open up, once you have located your picture click on it and it should work. If you click on the preview button then a lot of txt should come up underneath. If it hasn’t worked you will get some red txt along the top of the message box.
Hope this is a little clearer than mud, I only rediscovered how to do this a few days ago when adding my pic to the “it’s me” thread.
