When im doing any garment i absolutly hate doing the borders. The pick up takes forever and im also usually so close to finishing that i just want to see what it looks like finished. So it got me thinking...... What are everyone elses pet hates? What could you really do without when doing a project? cool smile

For me it has to be yarn manufacturers who decide to put a know about 2-3 yards into a ball of yarn.  It is so annoying, especially when you only notice them halfway down the row!

Hi girls, my annoying bit is when I am doing knitting and counting and the kids or hubby wants something, or even when the phone rings.

I must admit though, I dont pick up and knit stitches for collars and cuffs etc, I just cast on the amount of stitches I need and when I have knitted the rows I just sew it on.  I think it looks much neater.

Sewing up.
Sewing on buttons.
Knots in VERY expensive wool.
Someone talking through complicated patternings.
Mistakes in printed patterns.
Running out of wool when I KNOW I bought the right amount
Going back for more after the above and the shop has sold out.
Seeing wool I MUST have but it is the wrong colour
ETC. ETC. ETC. LOL  LOL

Sewing up.
Knots in wool.
Finding out 3 inches on that you twisted a cable the wrong way.
Having to go to work when a project is nearly finished.

Doing the button and button hole bands on cardigans.  If I didn’t have hot flushes, I’d never knit a cardigan again.  Trouble is, it’s so much easier to strip off when you are wearing a cardigan.
