Here is what is on my needles at the moment...finished the back and half way up front..knitted in Sirdar luxury soft cotton...it’s ok to knit with but I think I prefer Patons cotton as you have to be so careful when putting the needle into the stitches as this stuff splits easlily.  However if feels nice and soft to touch.

You’ve guessed correctly Gill....it is for Izabela.  Ihope to get it finished this week to be able to start a wee cotton sweater for Maya with the pink baby bamboo I bought in Penrith.

Janet...I picked up the new Sirdar baby bamboo book in the wool shop in Penrith...couldn’t resist as it went up to age 7....I think you would love some of the stuff in it for Freya…

Thanks girls...you are all so kind in your remarks....giving me a big head tongue wink I am trying to get it finished so that I can fit in a cotton sweater for Maya in time for us going over to Holland on 3rd August.  Bill is on late shift this week so I will be able to get a lot of knitting done.  I like to get on in the house in the mornings and leave the afternoons free for knitting when I get the chance....and the following week the poor man is on nights so I will sit up late knitting as I am not a very good sleeper...so I should be able to fit all I want in before I go.

Nicky in the picture it looks grey but it is really a kind of taupe/brown…

Louiseamelia...if you look my Flickr photos you will see the pattern…
