Going to Watt Bros; as usual they had fun fur wool at 30p a ball also wool thst ould probably knit well with the big pins we got free with our magazine ladies. If you are anywhere near a Watts get in there I bought 15 balls of a nice peach mix shade, 4 balls of baby blue and2 balls of grey (6 balls £5) plus a bag for £1.99 total spent £11.49 I am well and truly skint and hoping that in a fornight I will be able to buy more ha ha.
i was in the charity shops in Ayr as well and picked up a great book its how to knit book but it has a lot of patterns for lace, intarsia, arran, bobbles an absolute treasure. Written by a Pam Dawson. I also picked up 5 balls of red and white sombrero wool a ball of mohair and 2 balls of 4ply navy. LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
Lucky you,i went in my charity shop but the patterns were all the same as last time, and talking of wool there was some in one of the charity shops i was going to get it and forgot all about it,hopefully it will be in there next week.
Charity shops can be a great source of bargains, I asked once for wool and they had just had some in, and it was still in the back, I got the choice from 3 big boxes, some of it was 100% wool, I spent about a tenner and got loads, I’ve also got knitting needles, (sometimes need to ask ) and quite a few books, I got Jean greenhowes Knitted Toys for £1.75 a while ago, x Janet

Hi Flowergirl..I was in Ayr today as well...but I didn’t have time to visit Watt Bros. When I was in Glasgow with a friend a couple of weeks ago I got some fun wool...don’t know what I’ll use it for but there will be something. Glasgow Watt Bros has a fantastic display of wool...ut probably you have been there. Ayr was busy today and I was just glad to get home....I’m in Maybole.
We have a hospice charity shop in Pontefract which sold stuff at silly cheap prices, I used to buy loads, when I went in, some charity shops are just outpricing themselves I think, surely better to have a good turnover cheaply than have things left for months on end ! I mean they are donated after all, and I know they have overheads, but some prices are just too much x Janet
I don’t Oma. but am going to sort one out later, I have them all on my kodakshare as that is the camera I use, lol, but have the account just need to sort out the pics x janet

I know that shop, we go in there often and there is another in Nottingley. Their prices went up a bit when they got refurbished. It was great when they had the cafe but it closed that part.
