Thank you lizzy - I found one and printed it but lost the url....  I will give that one a go too, and it made me look up mattress stitch which looks like a much better way to stitch up than I have been using, so a double thanks!

If you are fed up with the socks change them into leg warmers where you just keep kniting till you get the length you want, but think how cool it will feel when you wear your socks for the first time.  Flowergirl

Hi Sockers!! I love knitting Socks (never thought i hear myself say that) Almost all I ever knit in the summer month is Socks, I even take them on holiday and knit on the beach. Just finished dyeing 5 skeins of Sock yarn for myself and have to finish the Toe on another pair of Noro Sockyarn Socks. I need to find the rest of the yarn for my Anastasia Stocking but that is goodness knows where!!!

nice socks Silvi grin

Did you finish your Noro pair yet?  How did you find the Noro sock yarn?  I’ve not tried it yet myself but I’ve heard really mixed things about it confused

I have done 2 pair of Noro Socks. They are lovely....after they been washed. I found the yarn hard and not nice to knit with and if your not careful it will fray on you but once they have been washed and blocked it is wonderful and feels nice on the old tootsies smile

Good to see/hear of so many others part way through a sock project.  My husband has asked me to knit some ‘work socks’!!  Think he thinks this may put me off my knitting addiction!!  He won’t moan any more - I sat and knitted on the train down to and back from London this weekend, knitting his second work sock!!
Little does he know that he has introduced me to another vice - searching e bay for sock wool!!!  Just bought a whole pack of Sirdar sock wool for less than £10 including p&p;.
Has any one visited the new Stash Fine Yarns shop in Chester.  Bit difficult to find, but well worth a visit.  Don’t forget your credit cards though!!
Happy sock knitting

I’d love to get to stash fine yarns, I think I would have to take a flask & sandwiches in with me I’d be in there so long. Thank heavens for the internet!!
