I am knitting burial gowns with 4 ply wool which Nessa so kindly sent me,i am doing this pattern here

I have only just cast on,can you knit 4ply on 4.5mm needles?I never have,just wondered if anyone else had.Thanks.

In theory you can use any needles you like. With 4ply and 4.5mm needles it will be loose and lacy. I looked at the pattern...have you done a tension square yet to see if it matches? (just in case it is a typo for the needles).

yes is the short answer, especially if you’re knitting lace :D
