House of Fraser stores are having a sale at the moment and that includes the haberdashery departments (where they have them!).  So my local store, Rackhams in Birmingham (also Sutton Coldfield and Wolverhampton, is offering, for example, 10 balls of Rowan Cashcotton DK for £25.00.  What a bargain!  Some of the colours are discontinued tho so if you see it and like it better buy it now - you may not get another chance!

Thats where Noodles and I went shopping last week, in Sutton Coldfield. I bought some RYC silk cotton 10 balls for £25 and the patons haze dk was a £1 a ball. I started a jumper for Max in it last night. Donovan from issue 7 I think.

Don’t have one near me.  Nearest is Leeds.  I used to work in Haberdashery in Rackhams, many moons ago.  It didn’t sell wool then.  Good job I can’t get to one really, I’ve already bankrupted us gulp

mad Drat and darn it, no chance of me getting to Birmingham at the moment.

BUT grin K2tog in Newcastle-under-Lyme have a sale on at the moment and I got some Wendy Fusion in a lovely blue-green-grey colour.  That’s also being discontinued so if there’s anyone else in the area buy now before it all goes.

I don’t think they do Janet, not that I go to Birmingham at that time of year, I know it sounds silly but hubby prefers me not to go especially if I have the boys with me since all the London bombings. There are always rumours of bomb scares etc and when I used to work in WHS in Union Street we were herded into the loading bay on several occasions because the police were conducting searches etc.  It’s not at all the thought of me shopping unsupervised is scarier than any bomb threat of course LOL
