Hi,

Just wanted to share my upset - I picked up my knitting bag to crack on with daughter’s jumper, and found that one of my lovely gorgeous ebony knitting needles was broken, yes I know it was probably my own fault, left knitting bag on the floor, but it was tucked away by the mag rack, so should have been ok. The ebony needles were a Christmas pressie, I gave such huge hints Santa had to get them!!

Have tried to glue it with some superglue stuff donated by himself, but it’s not looking hopeful.

Only consolation is that it’s my birthday 2 weeks time, so maybe I’ll ask for some new ones, am knitting at the moment with one ebony and one bamboo needle, why couldn’t it have been a cheapy bamboo one that got broken???!!

Am going to have cup of tea and some chocolate now, before knitting some more.

thanks for letting me moan,

Love Janet x

Nope, snapped right in the middle!!  Never mind, if that’s the worse thing that happens to me for a week it won’t be too bad will it??  Am cross with myself really for leaving my knitting bag on the floor.

Never mind, can still get on with the jumper on the bamboo needles, so at least production hasn’t ground to a halt!!

Have a good weekend,
Janet x

It is horrible when something you are so fond of breaks, but at least you can do what Gill suggests, all won;t be wasted then x Janet

What a fab idea about making it into a cable needle, I will get himself onto that tomorrow, don’t want to stop him now as he’s on a mission to clear the garage!!  We got a skip for the weekend, it’s cost £188, can you believe that??!!  And it’s not a huge one either, could have greatly increased my yarn stash for that money!!

Thats awful about your needle, but if you do get a new pair you will also have a spare!!
Last time hubby wanted to order a skip to clear the garage I insisted on carbooting it all first, good job we made £90 plus the cost of a skip we never paid for and we took the rest to the tip on the way home. If only he would listen to me more often....
