Let's Knit Magazine - Your knitting, your style

Hi girls was in Keswick staying to go to Woolfest and found a lovely wee shop called needles & pins. the girl was very nice and the wee shop is full to the brim. Was in the shop next door and they had new born beanie hats knitted plain from 100% cotton ith to wee buttons on the brim and they were asking £18.00 I nearly fell on the floor, thats how I went into the wool shop for a look and got a pattern and a ball of wool for under £6 Am i mean or is that the price of things.  Speak soon Anne

yeah- my knitting shop has items on sale at a much higher cost. They obviously have to factor in the time it costs them but i do feel the price is very high compared to making it yourself.

I certainly wouldn’t pay that much for a hat !!!!!  My daughter has a parenting magazine come here and I usually read it before I get it to her, and some of the prices for knitted things are ridiculous, but I suppose if you have the money x Janet

Some folk have more money than sense. Even if I came up on the lottery I would not pay £18 for a baby hat!!!!
