Hi there,
I love knitting books and I also have Loop d Loop.  It’s a beautiful book but I haven’t knitted very much from it (just a hat).  It seems more inspiritational than practical to me.  Have you knitted any of the patterns?  If so I’d love to see them.
Karen.

I think the cabled riding jacket is fantastic but it seems such a major project to take on (and also really expensive) that I doubt I’ll ever get around to kntting it.  Still, it’s great to have lovely books to leaf through - even if I don’t knit from them.

Oh yes, I agree completely.  I’ve just bought 2 more knitting books, Knitting Classic Style by Veronik Avery and Knit Knit, a collection of profiles of designers with a pattern from each. I may get around to giving a little mini review of them once I’ve had a better look - maybe!

Hi Karenknits,
Just had a quick squizz at your blog, you’ve done some lovely work. Your socks are great and I love the pink cardigan. It all looks great and good luck with future projects, especially your socks!

I love gardening too so love browsing through this book on those dark winter nights! I did make a chair throw by knitting squares to look like little fields from an ariel view, using greens, browns and golds and concentrating on making each square using a textured stitch to suggest ploughed field ridges etc. knitting and gardening in one package - heaven!
You can browse it on Amazon.
I am spoiled as I work in a library so get to see soooo many lovely knitting and sewing books and do often put in ‘biased’ stock suggestions, not that they are always picked for stock!!

Knit Kimono

I think I heard about this on the Knitpicks podcast. Have you made anything from it?
