Hi
I bought a teacozy pattern recently.  It is knitted with two yarns held together.  At the top of the cozy I have to knit a loop stitch with one yarn only.  How can this be done?
Can anyone out there help?
Thanks
Gill

Surely it will tell you in the pattern abbreviations how to do the loop st. If not then is it like the ones on baby bonnets where you wrap the yarn round your fingers?????

Hi
I think one of lets knit issues did a pattern with loop stitch. Also you can wrap round ruler instead of fingers. It is bit of a knack so practise on scrap first. You can put in a search on google how to loop stitch knitting and it should bring up pictures and even a video if you are lucky.I know how to do and have books with it in but am not good explaining myself.sorry.Good luck.waggel

If you are still struggling with Loop stitch, I have an Erssie Knits guide to this with diagrams to help produce a looped pile, and the loops can be cut if you want to make fur.

See my website, and go to the How To/Tutorials list in the RH sidebar about half way down, and you can download the guide.

Any problems then just email me.
