Hi Cheryl. I`ve done that as well. I started doing something out of Lets Knit for my daughter and lo and behold went wrong. Bit cheesed off to say the least. Then I found another pattern for a cardi because I didn`t fancy starting the first one again. I sewed it up, she tried it on and...... it didn`t fit!  red face  I`ve undone it yet again and am looking for another pattern to do and undo.  hmmm I wonder if I will get anything finished. Poor girl will have grown more by the time I`ve done something! If I try work it out, she`s 13 now and wonder how old she`ll be when I actually do something for her! LOL

Hi Cheryl,

I have had my husband winding up a project that went wrong.  My teenage boy told me he was bored once so I got him to unwind a piece of knitting.  Lets just say he didnt say he was bored for a long time.

Your pictures are great, you certainly been a busy bee.  I knitted a baby blanket for my neighbour but I made it way too big for the moses basket so instead, I unpicked it and knitting two skull cap hats instead.  They only took a few hours to do.  To be exact, I was watching “Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe” on the tv and hadn’t realised how quick they knitted up.

I would love to knit a lacy shawl/shrug for myself but the wool 2 ply wool is so expensive.  The wool in this months LK that they did a review on is not cheap.  I am knitting a pair of lacey anklets at the moment that I got off “knitty.com”.

Anyhoo, football will be over soon so your husband will have to find something else to do.

See ya, Susan

It is,but here is my helper, hubby frogging it,guess what he is watching?football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheryl...I love that pic of Andy looking so engrossed at something on TV ?? and unravelling your knitting.  I really must put Bill to work on my mistakes when he’s glued to the football LOL

On a serious note (if we ever are here on this forum)I don’t consider myself a tight knitter but like you I am constantly finding some of the things I do I have to do the bigger sizes.  I thought it was only with the kids patterns.  Maya is only three and a half but with most of the patterns I am doing almost 5 years old sizing for her and she is average for her age.  Then with the turquoise top I posted the other day I did my size of 18/20 ins and it fitted my friend who is a size 14 top...so that is why it is in my suitcase for DIL.
Hope yours is a better size this time Cheryl.
