On looking in my little book of yarn it does not give anything other than 5.5mm needle size
It was new for autumn/winter 2007 and is 30deg wash

hope that is of some help. smile

ravelry says its aran weight 10ply.

thats one of the fab things about ravelry for me, is that I can look at yarn on an online shop and then go on there to find out its weight, yardage etc. Some shops seem to presume you know! I’m just thick I think coz some people seem to keep it all up in the heads! Toooooo much yarnformation!

Oh i’m so funny lol

Because its a mohair blend Blur is very light. I have knitted a jumper in it and its very soft and the yarn goes a long way but because of its lightness beware of drape issues if you are knitting a garment that isn’t a blur pattern.

Hopefully Nicky will agree with me that it is a strange but lovely yarn to use.  I think it sort of felt like a slightly reduced DK?  Maybe something with strands coming off it!  It is lovely to knit with and wear, but DEFINITELY be wary if you’re not using Blur patterns because it’s a very economical - I’m a size 16/18 top and that only took 3 x 50g balls.  Hope this helps xx

I can’t think how much mine was but I think you must’ve got that for about half price Stacey so well done.  Any ideas what you’re going to use it on or is it a stash it and see?  Keep in mind what Nicky said about using Blur patterns though won’t you?  What colour did you get?
