Hi, went to the ‘ big knit ‘ today. On one stall were broches made from plastic needles which had been heated n then twisted into circular shape n pin added, looked very effective..
I was good n only bought 2 100g balls of wool.

I would do that for nothing. What a cheek, has she never heard of passing on a skill for the pleasure of seeing someone else learning it???  Or is it her career?

Whatever it is £10 is outrageous. Well at least I think it is.  angry

I think it is outrageous as well.I suppose as she runs a wool shop, it becomes part of her earnings.
But i think anyone who pays that to learn to knit is crazy....
Our local community centre runs a free knitting course for 10 weeks..

There are some peeps who think if they pay, and dearly, that they are getting a better service.
It is the same with food etc. When I was working I used to deliver sweets to various supermarket warehouses and they were all from the same suppliers and manufacturers, but just because they have a more “upmarket” name on the packet people think they are getting something better. All the manufacturers do is change the label. I used to deliver those as well.!!!  grin

My sister used to refuse to eat any beans that weren’t what she called ‘pub beans’ ie the cheapest and most reheated beans you can find! She always has been an odd eater! Your post just reminded me of another of her quirks LOL

Are those the sort that Mexicans eat?? They call them refried or something like that. I am sure I read somewhere that it was supposed to be dangerous to reheat them.
I wonder if there is anything these days that is good for you....?????? hmmm

Oh of course!!!! grin KNITTING.

She just meant baked beans that were served in pubs and wouldn’t eat refried beans funnily enough. And I think you’re about right Gill, nothing is good for us anymore! And although knitting is very good, not always, well not when I was silly enough to sit on my needles anyway!!  confused

Luckily, not sure if it was lucky or not actually, they didn’t bend, just one got stuck about an inch deep into my thigh, much to the amusement of all my friends! I really don’t advise it ever!

I absolutely am more careful these days, never leave my needles on sitting level or pointing in any potentially dangerous direction! And I’ll be alert forever more!  grin
