Bio

Hi my name is Nicky,I’m 37 and I’m married to Mark with four children. Two of them are grown up, a daughter Leigh-Ann who is 19 and Luke who is 18. I also have two small bpys Zakk who is 4 and Max who is 3. I am a stay at home housewife but I thoroughly enjoy it, in fact I’m dreading Max starting school in September as I’m already having people ask when am I going back to work!
I was taught to knit when I was around 6 by my nan. I used to make dolls clothes etc and then Sindy clothes (before Barbie hit the big time). I did knit a matinee coat for my new born half brother when I was 13 and bless my stepmom she did put it on him at least once if only to visit us with him in it. (about the omly nice thing she ever did but no more on that!)
As you can probably tell from my age I started having children young and I did knit a fair amount when the older two were babies especially for my daughter. I then had a huge gap of over 10 years before I picked up my pins again when I was pregnant with Zakk. Unfortunately summer 2003 was very hot and so hardly any of it was worn! So I didn’t bother when I fell pregnant again with Max as almost all of it was as new.
I then picked up my pins around two years ago in order to knit dolls clothes for the boys to play with and I haven’t put them down since.
