Top knit tip
Moss stitch is a basic stitch which alternates between knitting one stitch and purling one stitch. For the first row of this pattern, work (k1, p1) to the end of the row, finishing on a knit stitch. Turn your work, and begin working (k1, p1) again. This creates a lovely textured stitch pattern. If you are ever unsure which stitch to work next, always knit into the stitch that looks like a purl (bump shape) and purl into the stitch that looks like a knit (v shape).
